Welcome to the Silicon Valley Adult Baseball League! SVABL is an independent adult hardball league that plays games in San Jose and other border cities in Santa Clara County since 1993.  The goal of the league is to give local players a place to play competitive-recreational baseball.  Games are played on Sundays starting in late March and lasting until early September.  Open tryouts are held in approximately one month before the start of each season to allow new players to join the league.  The mid-season All-Star Games are held at Municipal Stadium, home of the San Jose Giants. Contact the League at svadultbaseball@gmail.com for more information.

  - Each season consists of approximately 18 games followed by double-elimination playoffs

  - Starting in 2020 the SVABL will be an all 30+ league

  - All games are played with wood bats

  - MLB rules with a few exceptions including free substitution and recreational lineups

  - Most games are played on Sundays, with occasional Friday night games

  - Three or fewer doubleheaders per team each season.

  - No games on the weekends of Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, or Labor Day.

  - Individual player fees vary by team, but are typically in the $250-$300 range plus uniform costs, and fees are collected before the beginning of the season.
